By accessing or using ClearSpent ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

ClearSpent is a personal finance management application that allows users to:

• Track income and expenses
• Categorize transactions
• View financial insights powered by AI
• Support multiple currencies
• Access data offline

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access to your account

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4.1 Free Plan

The Free plan provides limited access to features as described on our pricing page. Free accounts may be subject to usage limits.

4.2 Pro Plan

The Pro plan requires a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions are billed monthly and automatically renew unless cancelled.

4.3 Billing

• Payments are processed through Stripe
• All fees are non-refundable except as described in our refund policy
• We may change pricing with 30 days advance notice
• Failed payments may result in suspension of Pro features

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Upload malicious code or content
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service to store or transmit content that infringes on intellectual property rights

6.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to process your data as necessary to provide the Service.

6.2 Data Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter. The Service is not a substitute for professional financial advice.

6.3 AI Features

AI-generated insights and recommendations are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as financial advice.

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user data), is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• MERCHANTABILITY
• FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• NON-INFRINGEMENT
• ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF CONTENT

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Service interruption
• Computer damage or system failure
• Cost of substitute services

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClearSpent and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your license to use the Service immediately ends
• You may request export of your data within 30 days
• We may delete your data after 30 days

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service or sending an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
