This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use ClearSpent, including our web app, mobile web experience, and related services (the "Service").

• Account Information: Name, email, authentication credentials, and profile settings.
• Financial Data: Transaction amounts, dates, categories, descriptions, and budgets you input.
• Preferences: Default currency, notification settings, and custom categories.
• Support Requests: Messages and attachments you submit for help.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: Feature usage, navigation paths, and interaction timestamps.
• Device and Browser Data: Device type, OS, browser, and basic identifiers.
• Log Data: IP address, access times, and error logs.

We use trusted providers to deliver the Service:

• Supabase (Asia Pacific region): Authentication, database hosting, and storage.
• Stripe: Subscription billing and payment processing.
• Google OAuth: Optional sign-in for account access.
• Apple Sign In: Optional sign-in for account access.
• Google Gemini (AI): AI analysis and insight generation based on your data.
• ExchangeRate API: Currency conversion and reference rates.
• SendGrid: Transactional email delivery.

When you use AI features, we may send relevant financial data and context (such as transactions, categories, budgets, or summaries) to our AI provider to generate insights. We minimize data sent to what is needed for the request and do not authorize AI providers to use it for advertising.

You can opt out of AI features in your settings. AI outputs are informational and not financial advice.

ClearSpent supports offline access by storing certain data locally on your device (such as recent transactions, preferences, and cached views). Local storage is kept on your device and is not accessible to us unless you choose to sync it through your account.

If you join or create a group, certain information (such as shared transactions, categories, and member names) may be visible to other group members based on the permissions you grant.

If you use voice input, audio is processed only to transcribe your request and create entries you approve. We do not store raw audio unless explicitly stated in-app.

We store primary application data in the Asia Pacific region. Some service providers may process data in other jurisdictions. When data is transferred internationally, we use safeguards to protect it.

• Deleted Accounts: Personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days of account deletion, unless legal obligations require longer retention.
• Backup Retention: Backups may be retained for up to 90 days for disaster recovery.
• Audit and Security Logs: Retained up to 12 months for fraud prevention and security.

If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law, and provide information about mitigation steps.
